Initial Giveaway

I've been busy with paper piecing letters since April.  I've also been really touched by getting more readers and more comments lately.  I know that a lot of blogs give away patterns or fabric, but I'd like to make a little special something to give away.  I'd like to make an initial block just for you.

So, if you'd like to enter, please leave one comment below.  Please comment with the letter that you'd like and your favorite color.  I'll pull one name and design a letter block and make you a pincushion (or a coaster for non sewists) and send it out to you.  I hope this will be a fun way to say thank you.

    That is so cute! What a nice idea :) My initial is C...which would be a beast to make all curvy like, but not bad squared off I suppose.

    What a lovely idea- much more memorable than a sponsored giveaway! I would adore one of your pincushions- my initial is A, and my favorite colour is red.

    (Just looking at Margene on your sidebar. Actually my sewing machine doesn't have a name- apart from Oh, bother!- we never really bonded. But I felt a rush of affection for her when she fell upside down out of my car and sustained absolutely no damage- she's a very, very basic machine- so I might have to give her a name now!)

    I am reading Bellgirl's comment above and thinking about my sewing machine. I have had her for years and never named her. I always think it is so clever that people name their machines and then wonder about what I would name mine but then it stops there. She is a Singer Quantum so it would have to be something clever like Sally Q????? but that is as far as it goes. LOL Thanks for the offer on the pin cushion. As much as I like pin cushions I would rather have a coaster so that I can hang it on my "wall of fame". I would like a L in whatever color tickles your fancy. These are beautiful btw.

    Where did you learn to paper piece? I want to learn how to make letters and other paper pieced goodies. (If I get picked I would love a "C" and my favorite color is pink.)

    What a cute idea! You know that I like pretty much ALL colors. If I win I'd love an S cushion. I'm with the others above - I've named my car (Mal) but not my sewing machines. How sad! Actually, I did come up with a name for the Necchi - for some reason I think of it as a "he", so it's Nico. I'm not sure about the Pfaff, though. Phoebe, maybe, or Philomena. Or Gertrude. Betty. Ooh, Betty! Nah... the machine just isn't speaking to me.

    That's so sweet. I pick L if I am lucky enough to be chosen. My name is Kate, but I find the letter K is not handy to make and doesn't look all that great. So, L is much kinder to the eyes!

    So amazing! Does it have to be for me or could it be for one of my kiddos? I think something that awesome would be nice as a framed addition to his/her room. Though we all have some curvy initials - C, G and well, yet to be announced. I love your color combos - something cool, blues, greens, yellows.
