Oh, Hi!

I feel a little lost with blogging ever since joining instagram.  It is easier to post a quick picture and a few words than come up with a whole blog post.  So, I'll just jump right back in.

We went on a short camping trip with the best little camper!  Henry is finally understanding what we mean when we say, "Stay close to Momma!" (or Daddy).  It was so great to not be running three campsites away every few minutes or trying to touch the fire over and over.

I love a good campfire.

And the state park had the biggest, coolest playground I've ever seen. The kids were using so much imaginative play and there were some adults (besides Ben and I) playing on the tires, too.

xoxo this little guy

Coolest playground ever!

And another reason that I'm a proud momma:  Henry is doing well with potty training for pee!  Well enough that we packed his travel potty seat and set it up at the campsite.  That is a pretty great view for potty time, don't you think?

H's potty seat view is pretty incredible while camping.

  1. Funny enough, one of my fondest memories of being out when I was little was using a potty with a great view. Except this was an outhouse that we kept the door open on because it was so rank. But I still have fond memories of watching wildlife.

Weird story, but I'm sure he'll love it!!

  3. Ha! I just wrote a blog post with a very similar first paragraph. YAY for Henry!! It is so fun when kids finally turn that corner and start to figure out something we have been teaching, isn't it? And potty training has to be the biggest accomplishment! That playground does look really fun. Glad you had such a great trip!

  4. So true about Instagram!! We are too wussie to be out camping this early. It's in the 40s at night, brrr! But I really do want to camp this year. We've been setting up the tent in the yard and the kids adore it.

  5. I hope that you don't stop blogging. I like reading more about your projects than what you can say on instagram.
